Does this happen to you? Out of the blue you get a great idea, but you don't write it down. Later when you want to implement said idea you can't remember what it was? This has continually been happening to me lately, even though I have about three notebooks in my purse at all times. I just keep thinking "oh, there is no way I will forget this. It's just too good to forget." Later, nothing. {insert irritated sigh here}
Aha! I remembered what I wanted to write about! Literally, at this very moment! No joke!
So, my dad and step-mom are in town this weekend. I say are because they don't leave until tonight. We have been spending our weekend over at my brother's house where they are staying, and because there is quite a bit more room over there. Yesterday, my parents took the girls to Target to get groceries and toys (of course), and left Josh, Hollie, baby Cohen, and me at home to entertain ourselves.
This brings me to my point. We spent the afternoon hanging out in the living room. My brother plays songs on his guitar, and waits to see how long it takes me to recognize said song. Then we sing it to the end or until one of us forgets part of it or Josh transitions over to something else. Really, if I could list my top five activities in life this would be included in that small list. We have been doing this since we were kids, just now it is a bit more fun with Josh being able to play something other than a coat hanger. I could play this game four hours on end, and every time we stop I am usually a little sad to be finished. This is what is so great about living in Kansas City right here. Oh, not to mention Cohen sat in the crook of my arm and listened to us the entire time. That's like icing on the cake right there!
Have a musical Monday friends!
